It’s difficult for me to believe that another year has come and gone. 2024 was a year full of surprises. Iran’s historic ballistic missile attack on Israel, President Trump’s re-election, Israel’s success over Iran’s terror proxies, and Assad’s sudden departure for Russia made this a year filled with stunning twists.
That being said, I want to help us turn the page on 2024 and look ahead to key developing stories for 2025 that I believe carry remarkable prophetic significance.
Game of Drones
The “game of drones” all began November 18 with perplexing mystery drones appearing in the sky over New Jersey and New York. The sightings of these drones have now expanded to include Connecticut and California. While there has been a considerable level of speculation, there has not been any conclusive statements about what they are and who they are being operated by.
Earlier this month, an article detailed that “many of the reports were initially clustered in New Jersey’s Morris County.”
“Strange objects were seen apparently maneuvering over major waterways, municipal reservoirs, and even sensitive military facilities such as the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal,” the report noted. “The sightings have come amid fresh reports of alarming drone activity elsewhere, including at four military bases in the U.K. that are used by the U.S. in recent weeks and around Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in December 2023.”
A Wall Street Journal headline stated: “Mystery Drones Swarmed a U.S. Military Base for 17 Days. The Pentagon Is Stumped.”
Many insist these aren’t hobbyist drones, as the smallest ones are at least six feet in length, and some appear to be the size of a small car or bus. There is a great deal of speculation about these drones hailing from foreign enemies. I heard one say these are simply satellites, airplanes, or helicopters. However, it would be very easy for the US government to come out and label them as such.
Instead, they seem to be shrouded in secrecy. Numerous individuals believe it could be part of a US military dark program, though this isn’t how the US usually rolls out dark program technology.
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has a publication from September of 2023 in which they shined a spotlight on what’s called “Drone Swarm Technologies.” ALSO mentioned in Rev 9.
“Drone swarm technologies coordinate at least three and up to thousands of drones to perform missions cooperatively with limited need for human attention and control,” the report detailed. As we saw on New Year over China , The Dragon entering the Porthole.
If you have ever seen the “Terminator” movies, this is like Skynet in that they’re all communicating with each other and don’t really need human attention. Drones are being used extensively in the Russia-Ukraine war. Drones have altered warfare forever, and there’s been no advancement as dramatic in decades.
Whatever the outcome of these objects in the skies over the US might be, AI and drone weapons systems are going to continue in the days ahead to create panic and fear in our world as they proliferate.
We can be sure that, ultimately, drones are going to be used by the Antichrist to gain and keep a hold on global control (Revelation 13:16-18). Think of how drone swarm technology married to AI can be employed by a global despot like the Antichrist to strike and surveil people all over the earth. Imagine a world in which the skies are filled with drones.
It’s truly apocalyptic, and this technology is only going to continue to expand exponentially. I know this is going to be a major story in 2025 and beyond.
Israel vs Iran
The second forecast for 2025 involves the nation of Israel. I believe 2025 will be a year of increased strength and momentum for Israel. The enemies of Israel are all on the run. This is unlike anything in Israel’s modern history. Iran’s far-reaching tentacles have been cut, leaving Tehran isolated and desperate, while Israel now is emboldened and energized. An emboldened Israel may even follow through on its years-long desire to knock out Iran’s nuclear sites. Iran may use this in Firing the Gog and Magog Final bomb towards Israel.
The collapse of the Assad regime has allowed Israel to carry out precision airstrikes in Syria 480 times, knocking out strategic weapons stockpiles, places where they believed chemical weapons were being stored, as well as air and naval military assets. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called this a dramatic new chapter.
“The collapse of the Syrian regime is a direct result of the severe blows with which we have struck Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran,” Netanyahu stated. “The axis has not yet disappeared but as I promised – we are changing the face of the Middle East.” But Now with Turkey Backed Rebels controlling Syria, with a Loom of the Otter Man Empire that wants to emerge.
I believe this stunning change will continue. The Times of Israel has a recent article entitled, “IDF sees chance for strikes on Iran nuke sites after knocking out Syria air defenses.”
Israel now has complete air superiority over the nation of Syria, the Times of Israel highlighted. “the IAF said that after over a decade of evading air defenses over the skies of Syria during a campaign against Iran’s supply of weapons to Hezbollah, it had achieved total air superiority in the area.”
“This air superiority over Syria could enable safer passage for IAF aircraft to carry out a strike on Iran,” the report explained.
We know that, in the coming year, Israel is going to advance and exert its power against its near enemies–Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and likely, even in a greater way, Like Yemen and Iran. Iran is going to escalate its pursuit of nuclear weapons. That’s the only deterrent they have left. But that “deterrent” may open them up to a major assault by Israel, possibly aided by the Trump Administration in the United States.
Russian Aggression – The Bear and Gog as they are Called in the Bible.
The third forecast I have involves Russia. I believe the Russia – Ukraine war will get much worse before it gets better. Russia has been humiliated by what happened in Syria. Russia is infuriated that US missiles have been fired into its territory by Ukraine, and Russia wants to punish and inflict as much damage on the country as it can.
The Associated Press has a headline that says, “US warns Russia may be ready to use new lethal missile against Ukraine again in ‘coming days.'”
They want to devastate Ukraine. In all likelihood, Russia will continue to ratchet up its rhetoric and offenses to gain a strategic advantage. The Guardian further reported concerns from NATO “that Putin wants to wipe Ukraine off the map.”
“Nato secretary general Mark Rutte has warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to ‘wipe Ukraine off the map’ and could come after other parts of Europe next,” the article stressed. “Rutte told the Carnegie Europe thinktank in Brussels it is “time to shift to a wartime mindset” and that people should gird themselves for the prospect that Russia might try to use “swarms of drones” in Europe as it has to deadly effect in Ukraine.”
Biblically, we know that Russia is going to be the leader of the Gog-Magog invasion described in Ezekiel 38-39. For that reason, it would not be surprising for Russia to become much more aggressive in the coming year.
Russia’s stated objective is to “wipe Ukraine off the map.” Russia could also send swarms of drones into Europe. It wouldn’t be difficult to spark a war with NATO and provoke World War III. Russia has been humiliated and will increase its offenses against Ukraine to gain all the leverage it can in view of a future peace agreement.
Confidence in the Sovereignty of God
All these forecasts point dramatically to the end-time scenario predicted in the Bible. From the unsettling proliferation of drone swarm technology that could foreshadow the Antichrist’s future surveillance state, to Israel’s increasing strength against its enemies, to Russia’s concerning military escalation–we’re seeing Bible prophecy align with current events in remarkable ways.
As we think about these forecasts, I want to remind you–and myself–that God has not given us a spirit of fear. I’m not detailing all these things as we go into the new year to create a spirit of fear or anxiety. We are to go into 2025 in faith rather than fear, in Faith rather than hopelessness, in anticipation rather than anxiety.
God is moving in our world to accomplish His purposes and His plans. We want to make sure that we allow Him, as He’s moving in this world, to also move in our lives and continue to work through us.
My prayer for myself and for all of us is that we will enter 2025 with confidence in the sovereignty and the goodness of our great God.
